Editorial close-up of flawless, camera-ready skin

Shanelle Rene Gomez

Where the story begins

Shanelle spent years working as a model, in an industry where first impressions carry real weight. Castings, editorials, and runway seasons showed her how much quiet preparation goes into looking and feeling ready, and how rarely that kind of care is available outside the industry.

She wanted to understand the why behind it. A degree in communication science gave her a grounding in how impressions are formed and how confidence is read. Training as a licensed esthetician gave her the clinical skills to look after skin properly.

DermaSelene brings those two worlds together: the thoughtful care she saw backstage, offered with honesty to anyone who walks through the door.

The Career Path

2018

Modelling

Shanelle's career began as a model signed with one of New York's top agencies. Years of castings, editorials, and runway seasons taught her the standards of the image industry from the inside.

2022

Communication Science

She then earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Communication Science, studying how first impressions are formed in seconds, and how appearance speaks before words do.

2026

Licensed Esthetics

She completed the path with her esthetician's license from Atelier Esthétique Institute of Esthetics in New York, a school training skin professionals since 1985.

“I built DermaSelene so you step into your big moments with the same preparation a backstage team of experts would give you.”
